Happy Groundhog’s Day Eve!
It’s still windy and cold in the city but I’m so excited at how many fun things there are to do this weekend. Time Out New York is an easy go-to source when you’re looking for something new and fun to do. Here are a few that struck my interest from their weekend section:
- Hot Chocolate Festival. All month long, The City Bakery is hosting a different flavor hot chocolate every day. You can catch this year’s line up here. As a chocolate lover, how could I not list this as the #1 thing to do this weekend. (3 W 18th St., btw. 5th & 6th Ave.) Price: cost of a cup of hot chocolate.
- New York Transit Museum’s Holiday Train Show. Grand Central Terminal is celebrating its centennial this year, specifically this weekend. Stop by and see how NYC plans to celebrate this beloved landmark. While there, catch the 11th annual train show at the transit museum. At least a million people pass through this terminal every single day. One of the best places for people watching, eating and shopping. Price: FREE
- Gazillion Bubble Show. This just looks cool. The son of “bubble scientist” will put on a dazzling show of bubbles, lasers and flashing lights. Get tripped out legally! On through Feb. 24th at the New World Stages. Price: $45-90.
I love this city!
Check out these events and report back. If you grab a hot chocolate, send me a photo and I’ll post them right here at A Desi New Yorker.
Stay warm this weekend!
