It’s March, there’s fresh snow on the ground, and I just ate stuffing with cranberry sauce for lunch. Lot’s of things seem unreal right now, but here’s what’s not: climate change.
In Brooklyn with his new book, former Vice President Al Gore comes to town to talk about what he knows best. For $35-50 (including the book) you can catch him tonight at The powerHouse Arena in Dumbo.
To completely throw you in a loop, tomorrow is set to be sunny and 50 degrees in the NYC area. For those of you restless to stretch your legs, go for a walk! In high school, my girlfriends and I often walked the length of Broadway between Union Square and Canal Street. There are lots of interesting shops, cafes and street fairs to check out and the city is always changing. Don’t miss out on STRAND, only the coolest of the cool book stores in the nation! Who knows who or what you’ll find just waiting for you on the shelves.
Finally, Bowlmor is hosting a hot wing contest at their Times Square location. But if drink is more your fancy, stop by The Ginger Man my all-time favorite beer bar in the city on 36th at 5th Ave. You won’t be disappointed, especially since the crowd will be manageable on Sundays and you’ll get better service. But if you’re looking for eye candy or to mix and mingle, stop by on a Thursday or Friday after work. Again, you won’t be disappointed!
Have a great weekend!
